Busy Bees Kindy

Preparing Children for Schools

Busy Bees Kindy

Our Kindy room is aged 3.6 years until they go to school. The educators in this room would like to give you, as new children & families to our room, just a quick overview of the running and operation of the room. We operate the room along the lines of any Kindy Room, which encourages and develops the children's abilities leading them into the school life and routines. The program we use is the Early Years Learning Framework. Information and pictures are displayed within the room, so please take the time to look at the Children's artwork; creations and completed activities are also displayed in the room so the children can view their accomplishments. We also give families insights into the programs via newsletters, Facebook and SeeSaw, and verbally communicate with families. We invite families to participate in our program as much as possible.

A few of the different areas we encourage children to develop are;

Independence Skills

Dressing toileting/hygiene sunscreen understanding their own needs regarding feeling hot & cold

Listening Skills

More extended periods of group times

Communication Skills

And name recognition skills, leading to writing sharing skills & playing together (not just parallel play) fine/gross motor skills developed further.

Numeracy & Literacy Skills

Focusing on these subjects

Educators are happy to discuss your child's development at any time. We cannot wait to share this journey with you and your family.

What Parents Are Saying

  • "

    My daughter started here five years ago, and my son is currently here. The biggest attribute is the staff at the Centre! They are all amazing, caring, nurturing, creative and funny. The Centre keeps families informed via an app and I find this helps me interact with my son. The Centre is always celebrating something different, and everyone joins in the fun of dressing up. I trust these educators with the most precious people in my life and they are amazing at what they do! Thanks to Randall and his AMAZING staff for running a brilliant centre where my children have been given the skills to be independent and ready for school. You are all amazing!!

    Randall Johncock is the very caring and thoughtful owner of Walkley Heights Child Centre. As a parent I looked at four other child care centres and was not impressed by them at all. I heard Walkley Heights was opening around October 2003, so I rang and put my daughter's name on the list, went for an interview, as soon as I walked in, I knew this was the place for my daughter. Very clean and tidy place I found the staff very helpful and friendly. I liked how they cooked on the premises; menu was always out on the board. Everything was supplied within the Centre and my daughter loved bringing home drawings and crafts. Janet and Randall decorate the Centre for special occasions and always looks lovely. Overall, my child was at the Centre for three years and I knew when I left her, she would be in very good hands!

    If anyone is looking for a child care centre please try Walkley Heights Child Care Centre, you won't find another centre that is more caring towards your child, and they go above and beyond their duties as carers.

    I could not be happier with the Centre, and its team. Everyone is caring and approachable; communication is great and my little one seems happy at the end of each visit but also in no rush to leave.
